Ingredients:

For the beef stir-fry:

  • 500g beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (for cooking)
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 zucchini, sliced
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (optional for garnish)

For the stir-fry sauce:

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon honey or sugar
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)

Preparation:

Marinate the beef

  1. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
  2. Add the beef slices to the marinade and let it sit for at least 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Stir-fry the vegetables

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced bell peppers, onion, and zucchini to the pan. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until they are tender but still crisp. Remove from the pan and set aside.

Cook the beef

  1. In the same pan, add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, or until cooked to your desired doneness.
  2. Return the vegetables to the pan and stir together with the beef.

Prepare the stir-fry sauce
