For the beef stir-fry:
- 500g beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (for cooking)
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 zucchini, sliced
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (optional for garnish)
For the stir-fry sauce:
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon honey or sugar
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
Preparation:
Marinate the beef
- In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
- Add the beef slices to the marinade and let it sit for at least 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.
Stir-fry the vegetables
- Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced bell peppers, onion, and zucchini to the pan. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until they are tender but still crisp. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Cook the beef
- In the same pan, add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, or until cooked to your desired doneness.
- Return the vegetables to the pan and stir together with the beef.
